THIS YEAR'S THEME

"The Lord is my shepherd; I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Psalm 23:1-6

What is the state of your heart in the world today? Do you feel a low-grade depression at times, saddened by news headlines or plagued by comparison when you look at others accomplishments? Do you feel a sense of loneliness even amidst a world connected by the internet? Do you find yourself doomscrolling and becoming
addicted to your phone or finding other ways to cope?

In sharp contrast, Psalm 23 paints a picture of who God is, and who we are, even in the darkest valleys. “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.” In these words, the psalmist proclaims the closeness of God and the protection, provision, rest and peace that He guides us into. We find ourselves in places of exhaustion, discontent and distrust when we do not yield to the Shepherd’s care for our souls. Come and explore how to rediscover the mercy and goodness of God and the overflowing cup of joy that He offers us.

During this retreat we will have times of reflection, quiet, and deep discussion as we seek Him.
May He be the Shepherd of our souls and lead us in the right direction for our lives.
