THIS YEAR'S THEME
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
"This is the Way." The Mandalorians would repeat this phrase to remind each other of the way of life that they chose.
Jesus speaks this phrase to us not as a reminder, but as an invitation. In John 14, He invites us to follow Him, to believe in the Truth that will change our lives forever, and to a life with our Father and the place He has prepared for us. And in a truly astonishing moment, Jesus reveals that He's not just the guide, but he is also the Way.
At camp this year, explore how Jesus is the only Way and what it means to be a true Jesus-follower.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6
FAQ
GENERAL
+ Who can I contact if I have more questions?
If you have any questions concerning either CBM Camp Online or CBM Camp at Mt. Hope, please email camp@cbm-bayarea.org
+ Can I register for both camps (online and at Mt. Hope)?
Yes.
+ Will both camps (online and at Mt. Hope) be covering the same topic?
The topic and workshops will be the same, however we have different main speakers for each camp.
+ How old do you have to be to come to camp?
Campers as young as graduated 5th graders are allowed to come. Graduated high school seniors are also welcomed.
+ What’s the cancellation policy?
You may cancel up to a week before camp starts, for a full refund. If cancelling under 7 days before, you will be charged $10 to offset the processing fees. If there is a financial reason that is prohibiting you from coming, please contact your church representative for possible scholarships first.
+ I am on the waitlist. What does that mean?
While we would love every camper to come to camp, we have to take into account 3 different limiting factors - the current county and state capacity requirement for summer camps, the serving capacity of our kitchen staff, and the number of beds available at Mt. Hope. We are monitoring the situation week-to-week, and updating our registration capacity accordingly. Once we are able to, we will move those from the waitlist to regular registration in the order they registered, and send you a confirmation email.
In summary, if you’re on the waitlist, sit tight. We’re working to find a way to get you to camp. If, for whatever reason, we need to close registration, we will also inform those on the waitlist. At that time, we would also encourage you to join CBM Camp Online the week prior, where there are no capacity restrictions.
+ Will I receive a Camp In A Box?
Yes. The first 120 online campers to register will receive a Camp In a Box.

CBM CAMP AT MT HOPE
+ What COVID-19 protocols will the camp be following?
We will follow the recommended guidelines from the CDC and the California Health Department. We will continue to monitor the guidelines for updates and will make necessary adjustments as camp approaches. For up to date information, you can visit these websites: CDC &
CADPH
For a general overview of protocol we will have in place, we will be doing the following:
-There will be a health screening upon arrival at camp.
-Campers and counselors will be placed into stable cabin cohorts for the duration of the week.
-Daily temperature checks will be administered.
-There will be hand sanitizing stations available all over the camp facilities.
+ Do I need to take a COVID test before camp?
You will need proof of one of the following before coming to in-person camp:
-Fully vaccinated.
-Or a negative test result taken on or after July 19th.
Failure to comply will result in not being allowed to participate in camp.
We recommend unvaccinated campers to self-quarantine 10-days prior to camp. Information on self-quarantining can be found at the following website: Home Quarantine Guidance
+ I haven’t gotten the vaccine but plan to later, prior to camp. Can I upload my vaccination card (selfie) later?
Yes. Go ahead and register, and in your confirmation email you can follow the link to upload your vaccination card or negative covid result.
+ I already registered. Where do I upload my negative test result or proof of vaccination?
Follow the link in your confirmation email to upload your negative test result or proof of vaccination.
+ What if someone gets covid-19 while at camp?
We have a designated isolation area to use as a quarantine. We will also contact the parents and work with them to proceed forward. We will also isolate that camper’s cohort (in this case, their cabin) and monitor them for symptoms.
+ Why is camp cheaper this year?
The cost of this year’s camp has been greatly reduced due to the tremendous generosity of a few anonymous donors who provided funds for the cost of camp
+ What things should I bring?
Bible, pen, water bottle, sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries, towel, regular medicines. We also recommend shower slippers, bug spray, a notebook/journal, swimsuit/trunks if you plan to go swimming, and cash if you want to buy snacks.
+ I heard that both Middle School and High School will be at Mt. Hope together. How is that going to work?
All Corporate Worship sessions will be combined, while most other aspects of camp will be concurrent, but separately run programs, such as organized rec, workshops, skits, etc.
+ Is transportation provided to and from Mt. Hope?
No. Contact your church representative or youth group leaders to coordinate transportation. In the past, several churches have rented a charter bus together. If that’s not an option, parents will need to drive their children themselves.
+ Are we still having organized rec?
Absolutely! It wouldn’t be camp with o-rec. Our hope is that restrictions ease by the end of July to allow for more outdoor interaction, but until then, our awesome staff will create creative games while still adhering to current guidelines.
