50 Plus Cruise 2012

Love Boat: Let’s Get On Board

...and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith... Hebrews 12:1-2

PTL! It is with much thanksgiving that we were able to bring the camp ministry out to sea. On May 20, the 50plus Conference attendees boarded The Golden Princess in San Francisco that took us to Vancouver, British Columbia, two days later. We enjoyed fantastic meals, awesome views of the Pacific, and sweet fellowship of fellow believers from far and near (Seattle, Washington, Sacramento and the Bay Area). Pastor Joe Pursch of Chinese Grace Bible Church in Sacramento spoke about the life of Apostle John — how God transformed one of the disciples known as the Sons of Thunder, from his weakness of power seeking, pride and arrogance to an apostle whom we often refer to as the Apostle of Love. He would go on to serve God for seventy-five years. The challenge to our AARP qualified believers is that we are not finished serving God when we hit the half century mark. In fact, the Bible doesn’t speak of retirement, but instructs us to remain steadfast in faith. Let’s finish the race well!
