I meet many people from my trips overseas, but I recently met a wonderful young missionary, who is working with the youth in China. What was special about this young man was that his parents were a long time CBM participants some 40 years ago, met at the CBM camp, became Christians, and were mentored and married by Pastor Sen. This couple eventually adopted this young missionary I met, brought him up in a loving and nurturing Christian home, and later encouraged and supported him to become a missionary. As I listen to him recounting his life story, I simply cannot stop praising the Lord for the ministry of CBM from the past, and cannot contain my excitement for the ministry of CBM for the future. It is my prayer that this story is just a glimpse of what’s to come, where the exemplary encouragement and support of the past + the expansion of our vision at present + the sending out of workers in our next generation come together to be part of this exciting story bringing His Story to the Chinese speaking world. (Due to the security and effectiveness of our missionaries, we intentionally keep the details vague).
